    • No.

The Texas State University College Panhellenic Association does not accept letters of recommendation or introduction in person, by mail, or by email.

Please go to the national website for your organization if they are on campus, and follow the steps to refer a woman to the local chapter on campus.

    • All recommendation processes have been linked above. Please follow the link, log into your respective website membership site, and complete the recommendation.

  • Potential New Members

    • A letter of recommendation is a formal document, typically a letter, from a member who has been initiated into an organization.

For recruitment, these letters will let the chapters on campus know that you embody values, skills, and attributes that the initiated member believes you, as a potential new member, embody.

    • An alumnae refers to a woman who has graduated from her undergraduate institution and is a member of a National Panhellenic Conference sorority.

    • If you have a close relationship with an affiliated sorority woman, indicate to her that you are going to participate in primary recruitment at Texas State University. Request that, if she has time, she would appreciate it if you could fill out a recommendation form on her sorority's website. Make sure to provide her with your resume and a brief letter explaining why you are seeking to join a sorority.

If you don't know any affiliated women, search for the Panhellenic Alumnae Association nearest to you. Reach out via email. Please provide them with a photo, resume, and a letter as to why you are seeking Panhellenic sisterhood. These alumnae are incredible resources to learn about recruitment and sisterhood.

    • No, you do not.

The Primary Recruitment process at TXST does not require them.

They simply serve as a way for chapters to gain additional positive information about you.

    • That is totally okay. Again, they are not required. If you have close relationships with women who are active or connected to the sororities on campus, we recommend asking them for a recommendation. If you don't , don't worry. You will have the ability to meet all the chapters in the first round!

    • Two of our chapters have PNM Introduction forms. These are a way for chapters to have a better understanding of who you are and what you love.

You are welcome to complete them or skip them. The choice is yours!
