Chapter Report Cards
Since its beginning the Texas State fraternity and sorority community has had an active presence on campus and in the San Marcos community. To ensure our organizations are committed to their founding values the office regularly collects data on new member and chapter GPA, recruitment and retention, community services hours performed, leadership education and professional development programs attended, philanthropic donations, and community involvement.
There are five recognition levels chapters can receive;
- Exceeding - Greater than 105% of minimum points: Chapter has far exceeded the minimum requirement for all five sections. Chapter is eligible for Dean of Students Excellence Awards.
- Meeting - 100% of minimum points: Chapter has met or slightly exceeded the minimum requirement for all five sections. Chapter is eligible for Dean of Students Excellence Awards.
- Promise - 95% of minimum points: Chapter is within 20 points of minimum requirement. Must create and present a "Plan for Improvement."
- Probation - 85% of minimum points: Chapter is within 21-80 points of minimum requirement. Must create and present a "Plan for Improvement" and Chapter Executive Board must meet with Council Advisor twice a semester. Chapter may not be on Probation more than two consecutive years.
- University Review - Less than 84% of minimum points: Chapter is more than 80 points away from the minimum requirement. Chapter will be subjected to a university review by an accreditation panel. Chapter's National Headquarters will be informed of the status and additional support will be requested. Chapters may not remain on "University Review" for more than one year.
